The Hindu Mission Hospital and Sankara Eye Care Centre join together to host an eye camp for the needy in and around the Trichy area.

The first joint eye screening camp was conducted by Hindu Mission Hospital Trichy in collaboration with Sankara eye Care Institutions Coimbatore on December 12th 2010.

Around two hundred people from the nearby area attended the camp and were examined by about ten medical staff from Sankara Eye. Forty people were selected for cataract operation and taken to Sankara Eye care for the procedure. All expenses including the transport to & from Coimbatore and boarding and lodging for the three days, and expenses for the procedure & were borne by Sankara and provided as charity to the needy patients.
